Our team of operationally focused investment practitioners seek to generate cycle agnostic returns from direct investments in companies, as well as highly selective primary fund investments.


 
Scott Vollmer

Scott Vollmer
CEO & Managing Partner

Mr. Vollmer has more than 30 years of experience in private equity and alternatives investing and is a pioneer within the deep value, distressed and turnaround investing sectors, having spent much of his career focused on deep value investment opportunities within corporate turnarounds, leveraged finance, distressed investing and corporate bankruptcies.

Prior to founding Drum Capital in 2005, Mr. Vollmer was a Partner at Pacific Corporate Group, LLC responsible for discretionary partnership asset management. Earlier in his career, Mr. Vollmer was a Managing Director at the Commonfund and served in senior roles at GE Investment Management and Lehman Brothers.

Mr. Vollmer has held numerous advisory board seats at a variety of deep value and distressed oriented investment firms, including: Oaktree Capital Management, Wayzata Investment Management, MHR Institutional Partners, Avenue Capital Management and Monomoy Capital. He is currently the Chairman of the Board at Nichols Brothers Boat Builders, Winn Lumber, Inc., Hayfield Windows & Doors and previously of Huntington Foam Corporation and continues to serve on the board of numerous other portfolio companies.

Mr. Vollmer received his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Villanova University and a CRTM from Harvard Business School. He is a current member of the Turnaround Management Association, the Chairman of Drum Capital’s Investment Committee and the Managing Partner of Drum Capital Management, LLC.

Matthew Lugar
Managing Director

Mr. Lugar has more than 25 years of experience developing and maintaining strategic relationships for a variety of asset management firms.  Mr. Lugar is responsible for expanding Drum’s footprint with global investors of all types and providing valuable updates and insights to our current base of partners.  Mr. Lugar is a member of Drum Capital’s Investment Committee.

Prior to joining Drum, Mr. Lugar was a Managing Director, Head of Investor Relations and Strategic Partnerships at Starr Investment Holdings, the direct private equity arm of C.V. Starr & Co. Prior to that he spent more than a decade as Chief Marketing Officer at Gruss Capital Management, an event driven hedge fund.

Mr. Lugar received his B.S. in Management Science from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.

Joseph Russick
Managing Director

Mr. Russick has more than 20 years of experience in M&A, private equity and alternatives investing, with a particular focus on restructuring and distressed assets.

Prior to joining Drum Capital, Mr. Russick was a Managing Director at the Blackstone Group. Prior to Blackstone, he was a Vice President at Bennett Restructuring Funds, a $1.5 billion hedge fund focused on distressed and turnaround investments. Earlier in his career, Mr. Russick was a member of the Mergers and Acquisitions Group at Credit Suisse First Boston.

Mr. Russick received his Master of Business Administration from the Amos Tuck School of Business, Dartmouth, and graduated magna cum laude from Villanova University. He is a voting member of Drum Capital’s Investment Committee.

Edwin Camson
Managing Director

Mr. Camson brings nearly three decades of investment experience, with a particular expertise in short-term special situation investment opportunities and bankruptcies.

Prior to joining Drum Capital, Mr. Camson was a senior member of Bennett Management Corp., President of Newstart Factors, Inc. as well as the founder and President of Trade-Debt.net, Inc. In these roles Mr. Camson was responsible for evaluating, analyzing and investing in receivables and trade claims of companies in or near default.  He has negotiated numerous plans of reorganization with a variety of debtors and has purchased tens of thousands of claims that have been transferred in every bankruptcy court in the United States.

Mr. Camson received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the State University of New York at Oneonta. He is a voting member of Drum Capital’s Investment Committee.

 

 

stefanie lividini
Vice president of finance

Ms. Lividini is Vice President of Finance at Drum Capital Management and has experience in running operations and accounting for private equity firms and other asset managers.

Prior to joining Drum Capital, Ms. Lividini was the Director of Finance of The Silverfern Group and Controller at Atlantic Street Capital. In these roles Ms. Lividini was responsible for all back-office functions including fund administration, investor reporting, management company accounting and compliance.

Ms. Lividini began her career in financial services as a Consultant where she assisted numerous asset managers of diversified investment structures with interim support, back and middle office functions, business structuring, software implementation, and regulatory compliance.

Ms. Lividini received her B.A. in Economics and Sociology from Fordham University and her MBA in Finance from the LaPenta School of Business at Iona University.

 

 

Greg renn
Associate

Mr. Renn is an associate at Drum Capital Management and has experience investing opportunistically across multiple asset classes.

Prior to joining Drum Capital, Mr. Renn worked at Cedar Hill Management, a single-family office, as a multi-asset class investment professional with direct experience investing in public equities, private equity, growth equity, real estate, and credit; and primary fund investing experience in private equity, hedge funds, and growth equity.

Mr. Renn received his B.B.A in Finance from the Raymond A. Mason School of Business at the College of William & Mary, as well as a B.A. in International Relations, and graduated magna cum laude. Mr. Renn received his CFA charter in the Summer of 2022.

 

 

diane vertucci
fund controller

As Fund Controller, Ms. Vertucci is responsible for fund administration, financial reporting, and tax at Drum Capital.

Prior to joining Drum Capital, Ms. Vertucci served in a variety of Fund Accounting & Controller positions at Pequot Capital Management and Globeop Financial Services, a billion dollar hedge fund. Ms. Vertucci began her financial services career at SS&C Services, where she was responsible for the accounting functions for a mix of hedge fund clients.

Ms. Vertucci received her Bachelor of Science degree in Professional Accounting, cum laude, from the State University of New York.
